My chat with 2 Dubs yesterday about UN membership
by jookbeard ini live close to a resonanbly busy street, 20 odd shops banks, a train station,a couple of cafes and coffee shops etc and usually see dubs doing street work close to the station and i'm now on nodding terms with an elder who is out most days of the week and have got close to recognizing most of the hard core of about a dozen of them , i was walking out of the cafe yesterday to be greeted by a couple of newbies i'd never seen before , a scruffy short dumpy man and a fairly well presented middle aged lady, i'll try and abridge the conversation as best as i can, we must have chatted for about 15 minutes and it was all in a good mannered style;.
me " have you sold many of those this morning ?".
jw guy " oh no we dont sell them we give them away for free" (like i didn't know that).

Prayer answered
by StopTheTears inmy van broke down before christmas.
i could not even afford to have it "looked at", let alone repaired.
so, i have been praying that god would somehow work this whole situation out.. .

What are some things you can get MARKED for that you wont be DF for?
by BU2B ini know of one case of a woman being marked for marrying a non jw.
do you know of other cases where someone did something and were marked and not df?
were any here ever marked?

I knew someone who was marked for standing up for an adult girl who said she was sexually abused by 2 elders at a Sheparding visit. The elders told him to drop it but he spread it around the congregation. The elders gave a talk very specifically to avoid this unnamed brother. Most everyone knew who the talk was about.
A couple years later this same girl started a rumor that Mrs. Dazed and another elder were sleeping together. I knew then that she was a lying sociopath and a bitch. At the time she did this, she was in another hall, and we barely knew who she was. Im not sure if she was ever marked but she sure should have been.
She loved to stir up trouble with the elders.
